Hands down – I love our House of Noa washable mat for our family room. When we remodeled our home in the city, the front door opened up directly to our living room. Between little kids and heavy foot traffic, it was nice to have a wipeable mat. Plus, they come in a variety of sizes and you can readjust the size based on what you need.
Fast forward to our new home and our back patio opens right up to our living room! We again have a situation of heavy foot traffic, especially in the summer, as well as crumbs and happy fingerprints everywhere. Having a House of Noa washable mat makes entertaining a breeze. The House of Noa playmat has the right amount of comfort to it. While it's a high density foam, sharp objects or high heels can rip it. We had very subtle knicks in our current mat that had extremely high traffic.
We have owned three House of Noa washable mats and two Ruggable rugs. There's more than a little bit to love about both of them. My favorite feature of the House of Noa playmats is that the cleaning instructions are so simple. A mild soap or all purpose cleaner even in cases of extreme dirt will easily clean up. Ruggable has such beautiful rugs.

We recently got the Pebble Vegan Leather Mat from Toki Mats, and I love it. I wish I would have found this brand when we had newborns because it’s a mat that can easily grow with your family.
It’s incredibly soft and comfortable. Plus, they have removable covers. While we have the leather mat, there are dozens of fun patterns in removable, washable cotton covers. It’s made from all natural materials, which is obviously important with babies as well.
What I love most is that it can truly grow with your family. The Vegan Leather Mat has handles on it, so if you want to fold up your “babyland” and put it away, you absolutely can. I think it’s smart to get a simple, neutral design and then you can always have a basket of toys next to it.
Now that my kids are older, we also use it as are tumbling and play mat. My daughter is in gymnastics and my son just loves to jump and roll. The Toki Mats is perfect for it! If I had found this mat before, I would have skipped the SkipHop baby phase and just jumped into Toki Mats!
While I still would have kept our House of Noa mat in the living room because we used it as a rug, I would have added this to it. Toki Mats is way easier to move around to other rooms.
