If you live in Chicago, you’re probably all too familiar with moving in and out of apartments. In my past four years here, I’ve shuffled around places 6 separate times, so it’s safe to say that decorating my apartment was never really a priority. Now that I’m feeling a little more settled (I think!), it feels like the perfect time to really get my place in order. Here comes Tuesday Morning to the rescue! Tuesday Morning is a home decor shop that offers top-quality products at the best prices (20 – 60% off regular retail!). I was so excited to partner with them to help bring my guest room to life. See the before & afters below!

I had the essentials of a guest room – a bed, hah! Honestly, I didn’t realize how empty this room was until I photographed it. It was such a forgotten space, and did not feel cozy or inviting at all. There was a ton of space just waiting to be filled.
Ta-da! Welcome to my new guest room! I wanted to create a really cozy & inviting space by bringing in different textures and neutral tones.
Filling In the Gaps
The number one thing I wanted to do was fill in the empty space next to the bed. My favorite thing about shopping for home decor is digging for unique pieces, and Tuesday Morning is the right place to do that! I wanted to create a gallery wall to bring some life to the room. I ended up finding a canvas painting, a floral wall piece, and a small mirror. The pieces fit pretty well together, and I was able to build it for under $80! I also got a little ottoman/stool to stick in the corner for balance, as well as neutral rug to center the room.
I also found curtains that had a nice weight to them and let in the perfect amount of light. There were so many options to choose from, but I went with a classic light blue. They really help complete the room!
Now the true gem from this trip is this side table. I am OBSESSED with it! The gold detail and stone top give a luxury feel (it was only $60!), and the accessories help complete the look. I love the look of mixed metals & textures, so I grabbed a silver lamp with geometric details, and combined it with a simple candle (that smells delicious!) and a vintage, mirrored diamond case with gold detailing. I also added this adorable golden giraffe (from the clearance section!) to help with height.
This was my first trip to Tuesday Morning (I will definitely be making more soon!), and I loved their unique selection and wide variety of home decor. I’m so happy that they helped bring my empty, forgotten guest room to life! If you’re looking to refresh your space with unique decor at great prices, you have to check the store out. You can find your local store on their store locator page. Happy hunting!
