A blush gold baby shower, yes, please! When Paper Source approached me to create a baby shower inspired by the latest royal addition, I was so excited. Designing baby announcements and baby showers are two of my favorite types of parties!
Since blush and gold baby showers have been out there for a while, I’ve started adding in navy blue to give it a fun twist. In fact, this adorable teacup from Paper Source inspired the entire theme!
Isn’t it too cute with the little hummingbird? I’m dying to turn the teacup into a dessert cup, too! I may save that for next month… I also brought the navy in through a napkin, which I tucked under the dinner plate. Usually, I place a menu on top of the plate as some decor (like at the Llama Baby Shower I hosted); however, this time I opted for super fun huge tissue paper flowers. They’re called tissue paper peonies. How perfect is that?? Peonies all year long!
For the plates and flatware, I kept everything gold and white because I knew the teacups and tissue paper peonies would bring a ton of color to the table. I designed the flowers myself using blooms from Trader Joe’s. Did you know they have the best flowers?!
Instead of cupcakes, I opted for carrot cake bites from Trader Joe’s. I usually serve cupcakes, but carrot cake seemed so fun for the springtime/Easter timing of this event. Plus, I’m not a baker. I can design anything you need, but baking I leave to the professionals, ha! Although, sweets tables are my favorite, which you can clearly tell from Jojo’s 1st birthday.
