Since May, I have been able to increase blog traffic every single month following a detailed plan. While I’ve kept a blog for years, I was inspired to get serious in April. I read Blair’s income report and was inspired to increase my blog traffic for my business. I find people always share the journey after they’ve reached the destination. So, I thought I’d do something different and share it along the way.
My Formula
- Publish 6-8 new blog posts per month
- Post to Pinterest via Tailwind 3-5 times per day
- Post to Instagram stories 3x per day with swipe up
- Share to Facebook 3x per week with an article directly to the site
- Send a weekly newsletter with Flodesk (highly recommend)
Key Changes to Support from August
- Increased Pinterest posts to up to 5 per day using Tailwind
- Created a ‘moms only’ newsletter for my Toddler lesson plans
Blog Traffic Report
In September, I had 10,609 pageviews (+4% vs. last month)
The big spike is the day I shared our Chicago home renovation on my personal Facebook page as well as Instagram and business Facebook page. People love interior design!

Why I think the blog grew in September
Pinterest has been the key to increase blog traffic every month. Do you follow me on Pinterest yet? My page is up to 500K views per month! I owe it all to Tailwind and my Pinterest assistant. Also, sending a weekly newsletter helps a lot, too. My click-through rate is up to +35% using Flodesk. You can get 50% off your Flodesk trial using my link. Lastly, it’s the content. Every month I’ve been releasing more home content, and I see blog traffic uptick. I’m planning more of that content around the holiday season!
