Over the last 3 months, I changed my ways and created a healthy routine reset with Beachbody. It’s been a gamechanger for my body, mind, and overall happiness. The pandemic has been a crazy time. We’ve lost all control and need to think about how we do things every moment of the day.
Children’s routines are thrown out the window. We’re cooking every meal at home. Work is home, and home is work. It’s all a lot to process. However, with Beachbody, it feels like things are in control. It gives me a sliver of me-time, helps me to feel good, and keeps me nourished.
What is Beachbody
Beachbody is a series of online workouts and nutrition programs. You can subscribe to Beachbody On Demand for access to 100s of programs. There is also the opportunity to join challenge groups (aka accountability groups) if you’re looking for connection, and there are nutritional elements as well. You can make it into something that’s very much apart of your life as well as something as simple as a workout you do.
Why I love it
I love Beachbody because it gave me a routine reset to a healthy, manageable lifestyle. The workouts are typically 30 minutes or less, which I can do. It’s very manageable. Plus, I literally feel like a different person. I’m lighter [weight-wise and mentally].
You don’t need much equipment at home other than a set of light and heavy hand weights. Plus, most of the programs are in 3-week increments. For example, there’s the 21-day fix, which is super popular. The new program I’m going to try is #MBF, which is 6 weeks long broken out into two 3-week chunks. So manageable, right?! Lastly, it’s super easy to track your food with the 21-day fix food app and the workout plans are in a checklist format, too so you cruise right along.
Shakeology is a gamechanger
I love Shakeology and I haven’t even tried the recipes yet! It’s a great way to get your nutrients in an easy way where you don’t have to think. I don’t know about you, but I appreciate having a meal ready for me now. Plus, Shakeology is only $4/day. That’s a super affordable meal!

It’s a lifestyle change
I started with 21-day fix and did the workouts only. I saw some results, but they were minimal. However, I felt better and found a routine reset. Then, I did 21-day fix extreme and followed the meal plan about 80% of the time. WOW. Big changes. I started to notice a difference, but so did my friends & family. I feel good. Knowing I can carve out just 30 minutes a day and feel this great is a big win for me.
I’m starting an #MBF Bootcamp
OK, so I’m taking the plunge and starting my own group. I love what Beachbody has done for me, and I want to share that with others. My inaugural Bootcamp starts on September 14th with my coach Melissa.

While most coaches offer an accountability group, it’s frankly a hodgepodge of people sharing random updates in a Facebook group. I’m planning to structure this more so that it works for every person. Hate Facebook groups? Cool, let’s skip that and I can follow up with you individually.
My only complaint about Beachbody is there seems to be one way of doing things, and if you know me, then you know that’s not my M.O. I’m going to do it my way, and we’re going to have fun and get results.
