How-to ‘Thai’ a Bridal Shower Theme to the Honeymoon

A day full of lots of love, excitement and pineapples!  I was thrilled to help the bride’s Maid-of-Honor plan a bridal shower with a Thailand twist.  My best friend, Katie, & her soon to be hubby will be honeymooning in Thailand post dreamy wedding.  What better way to personalize the shower than use the honeymoon as inspiration?  From the palm leaf place settings to the pineapple center pieces, this decor transported us directly to tropical Thailand – and was truly unique to the bride.

Bringing the Theme to Life

Folding in the theme throughout the shower was important to me, which is why you’ll see pineapples, palm leaves and travel items sprinkled throughout the decor.  We utilized palm leaves from Oriental Express as place mats, passport covers as favors and real pineapples as decor.

Details Unique to the Bride & Guests

I believe it’s all about the little things so no detail goes unplanned.  Knowing the bride was celebrating with her closest high school & college friends, we thought it’d be fun to bring in a childhood favorite – the cootie catcher.  Thanks to our friends at Martha Stewart Weddings, we found a great catcher here.  She also has other great ideas on her site.

Personalized Champagne Labels

One of our favorite details was the personalized champagne labels created by Gardenia Labels.  Kate from Gardenia was so wonderful to work with in personalizing these amazing Bride Tribe labels!  The bride was head over heels when she saw them bringing tears to her eyes.

Pineapples Galore

Another important detail for us was the pineapples.  Not only are they on trend, but they cue Thailand in such a cute way.  Bringing the pineapples to life in a meaningful way was important to us so we carried this icon through all of our paper goods.

Cheers to the Happy Couple!

Ultimately it’s all about the bride having the best time with her friends.  We were so happy we could provide some help with pulling together the theme and providing links and recommendations as to where to buy everything.  Enjoy the photos – I know we did.  And congrats to Kathryn & Brian who are tying the knot in June!
